The January Blues

January is a funny old month, while I try to see the positives in it, a fresh start and lots of hope for the year, it still can seem a bit flat after the colourful chaos of Christmas. I often think little things can help to brighten the mood - new stationary, a great new book, freshly baked cakes, and also, as is so often a mood enhancer - a fresh bunch of blooms.

We were sent these beauties from Blossoming gifts, to review and they are just perfect. So bright, pretty and happy they made me smile as soon as I received them. This bouquet is called the Rainbow Freesia, and it's just beautiful.

The picture at the top of the post is the day they arrived, they were carefully packaged and smelt wonderful. They brightened the room instantly, and what I loved was that each day since I have had them more of the flowers have bloomed and its been so pretty to see. Simple and stunning. The colours are the perfect antidote to the post Christmas lull, a little nod towards spring which is most welcome. I'm sort of itching to make a loose flowing spring like floral crown with them and drag out some of my summer tea dresses to flounce about in!
