Inspiring Homes

I've been meaning to start a series of posts for a while now about inspiring homes - I'm sure most people (especially if you're reading this!) love a good nose around someones house, and this is the perfect excuse. I love interiors magazines, but I do find that sometimes they can get a little samey and can be a bit trend led rather than focused on the individual.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! I know it can be a bit of a cliche but I love the start of a new year, I love looking back over the last year and planning lovely things for the future. Making the Most of Small spaces: CeCe's Room

In some ways our smallest room for our smallest girl reflects her perfectly, tiny but with the brightest pop of orange on the wall the drama of such a strong colour could be a bit much for most kids' rooms, but not for my little live wire!

In Praise of the Serving Hatch

My Grandma's house has a serving hatch in it, and I have always loved it. I love the passing through of delicious food, calling our for extra helpings and the way that it opens up a slightly darker room. When we first looked around our soon to be first home, the space where a serving hatch once was was all boarded up and I knew it was something we would reinstall as soon as we could.SaveSave

Easter Weekend

Hands up who has the post bank holiday blues? Meee! I'm pretty tired from doing lots of things outdoors (that and my first back to school/preschool run), I've definitely over indulged in chocolate eggs, and the house is still full of cake crumbs and toys but oh it was so worth it!

Having a Workspace at Home

When I was at University I used to cover my studio space in anything and everything, old book covers, vintage sewing patterns, anything that inspired me. It was a complete riot of colour and pattern, I loved it. Having a workspace in the home can be tricky, particularly in a family setting, but I think with a little careful thought it can be done.
